What is this?
Final Notice is an independent short film over a year in the making. The plot revolves around two bailiffs - an old dog and a rookie who are forced to spend the shift together. Will Gary ruin David's enthusiasm for helping the community or can this old dog learn new tricks?
Thanks to the incredible hard work of our team, we have managed to capture the film and literally can it (on 16mm celluloid). Now we are on the home strait and need your help to finish what we've started and bring this project to the big screen.
Who are we?
We are PWP - People With Purpose. We are a group of young creatives and friends who are united by our passion for grassroots impactful film. This is our first project all together and we’re so excited to be bringing it to life.
Noe Sebert - David
Noé is a Parisian born actor who would come to grow up in South London, and go on to study at RADA and Manchester School of Theatre. You can catch his acting chops in shows like: Ackley Bridge (Netflix/Channel 4), Liaison (Apple TV) and COBRA: Cyberwar (Sky). Repped by David Daly Associates.
Parker Henry James - Gary
Parker is originally a North London boy, and has seen many of the changes that this film tells of and represents. Parker has recently been in Indie productions such as Outside Within, Against All Odds and The Come Up. When not working Parker enjoys the many beautiful green spaces nearby where he lives.
We also have cameos from Andy Vernon, Christopher Mulvin, Florrie Dobson and Producer Cameron Morais-Jones.
Jean-Paul Rama - Writer/Director
Jean-Paul is a Mauritian/English filmmaker from SE London (proudly). He holds a BA(hons) in Film Production from UCA.
For the last few years, Jean-Paul has spent his time tucked away honing his writing abilities and style, leading us to Final Notice. His biggest aspiration is to jump into the world of social-realism, yet still exploring fresh and original ideas.
He is probably one of the biggest Sáde fans in the known universe. He loves him some wasabi peas, and enjoys nothing more than the smell of a tube of fresh tennis balls. When not focusing on a project, the next best place to find him will most likely be at the Peckhamplex.
Cameron Morais-Jones - Producer
Cameron is one half of the producers, and is in charge of crunching numbers. With a degree in economics and experience as a personal assistant in the film world, Cameron brings strong organizational and analytical skills to every project. His love for storytelling developed through years of studying and working on film projects, driven by a passion for making creative visions come to life. Known for meticulous attention to detail, Cameron excels at keeping productions on track.
George Duggan - Producer
George is a writer and filmmaker based in SE London with a BA in English & Film Studies from Queen Mary UoL. He has experience in all elements of production gained over the last decade while holding down a variety of hospitality jobs from janitor to burger flipper. Alongside Cameron, he is a major problem-solver.
Ellie Concannon - 1st Assistant Director
Ellie is the boss on set. She has great experience Assistant Directing on Netflix’s Scoop, The Crown, The Diplomat and BBC’s We May Regret This. She has played a key role in bringing the project together.
Joe Hofman - DoP
Joe Hofmann is a multi-award winning freelance Director of Photography with credits on a BAFTA nominated series; working in long form narrative, documentary, commercial and music promos. Joe has experience shooting in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa & Australasia. Joe’s photographic work has earned him a Magnum Photos award as well as front pages on international publications such as Latterly (narrative journalism magazine) and The Cambodia Daily.
Salome Gonsalves - Set Designer
Salomé is a mixed media artist and set dresser from Portugal, graduated in Fine Art from Middlesex University, London. She has a passion for nature; working with various materials and people to build different environments and, if possible, weird creatures. She’s now working mainly on shorts in props and set dressing.
Ollie Harrison - Sound
Oli is a musician based in north London. His project Polyscraps combines sweet and mad. When not roasting a chicken he enjoys long stints in the sauna.
Camera Team
We have also had the privilege of working with an elite camera crew made up of Tamara Turoczi, Guillermo Cheer (1st AC Focus Puller), and Tyron Zimmerman (3rd AC and all-round extraordinaire) as well as Gaffer Ian Blackburn and Spark George Greenwood.
We’ve managed to fund this much of the production out of our own pockets and with the help of a few kind donations, but our main costs now are:
- £800 - Film Processing and Digitisation
- £400 - Equipment Hire
- £500 - Editing
- £300 - Audio recording session
- £200 - Sound Mixing work
- £100 - Festival Entries
We're operating on conservative estimates and any money we manage to make over the target would be super helpful - going into making every element of post-production better and entering more festivals.
We’ve managed to capture the film and it now sits safely in a can (which is in a fridge), waiting to come out. With your help we can unleash it and make this reality a film!
